Adani Total Gas profit falls 8% due to government supply cut

Mumbai Mumbai: Adani Total Gas Limited reported a net profit of ₹1,550 crore in the March 2025 quarter, down nearly 8%. According to the company, the reduction in the supply of cheap gas by the government led to a sharp increase in gas purchase cost, which affected the profit.

The company’s total expenses rose 21% to ₹12,640 crore, while the cost of natural gas increased by 28%. Despite this, the demand for compressed natural gas (CNG) remained strong. CNG sales grew 18% due to the government’s campaign to promote clean energy and reduce vehicle pollution. The company launched 42 new CNG stations during this period, taking the total number to 647.

The piped natural gas (PNG) segment also registered a growth of 5%. Total operating income stood at ₹14,530 crore, as against ₹12,580 crore in the same quarter last year.
