Accused involved in liquor smuggling arrested, bike seized

Mahasamund. An important meeting was organized by Piramal Foundation in Gram Panchayat Arand of Bagbahara Block with the aim of empowering and developing the Panchayat through “Gram Panchayat Planning and Facilitation Team” (GPPPFT). Panchayat committee members actively participated in this meeting.

The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the effective use of teaching tools like School Management Committee (SMC) and Building as Learning Aid (BALA) to improve the level of primary education. In this direction, it was decided to form a dedicated team for the development of the village and conduct various activities.

In the meeting, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, Smt. Parvati Tande said, “Development of children is the development of the village. Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs), women of self-help groups, youth and local leadership will work together to achieve this goal. Headmaster of the primary school, Smt. Nisha Vikas Chandel emphasized the need for the cooperation of the Panchayat in the implementation of School Management Committee and Bala Learning Tools. Piramal Foundation’s Aspirational India Collab Team discussed in detail the 9 themes of LSDG for Empowered Panchayat and Sustainable Development in the meeting. The Panchayat resolved to make a “child friendly village” and “clean and green village”. All the Panchs of the Gram Panchayat, Headmaster and Piramal Foundation’s Program Leader Richa and Surendra, District Lead Mahendra Arya and other members were present in the meeting.
