Accused cheated of lakhs through hypnosis, arrested

Raipur. In the capital, the police have arrested the accused who was cheating people by hypnotizing them. While disclosing the matter, the police said that the applicant Ramgopal Vyas’ father late. Madan Gopal Vyas, age 75 years, resident of Vyas Gali, in front of Gopal Mandir, Sadar Bazar Raipur Police Station City Kotwali Raipur (Chhattisgarh), who is a retired employee of Chhattisgarh State Electricity Company Limited.

I got hypnotized by his words and for the treatment of the pain in the knees of my wife Pushpa Vyas, I believed in the words of Dr. Salauddin and agreed to get my wife treated and said that I take Rs. 5000 for removing the pus at one go. He took out a pipe, put it on Puppa Vyas’s knees and pulled it from his mouth with the help of the pipe and started taking out a liquid like substance.

In this way, he did this many times and took Rs. 74000/- in cash from me and gave Rs. 50/- to my maid Seema and got medicine for her. After that my wife’s knee pain started getting better. He gave me a visiting card and said that he has to take Rs. 445000 more from you and said that he will come and take it after 45 days. After some time, my wife’s knee pain became the same as before.

Saying that he will come after 5 days and take the money, Salauddin disconnected the phone and realized that he had been cheated. The report was registered and taken up for investigation, the visiting card given by the applicant and the mobile number talked to were taken and the accused was caught after taking the location with the help of cyber cell. On enquiry, he revealed his name as Salauddin and said that he had taken Rs 474000 for the treatment of Ramgopal Vyas’s wife. Out of which Rs. 8-0 thousand were said to be spent, the remaining amount was to be kept hidden in the bag and given to Dr. R.K. Visiting card, driving license, Aadhaar card, voter ID, PAN card, two mobile phones, one brass horn pipe, one small iron tool, cash amount of Rs 70000/- and Rs 40000/- total amount of Rs 240000/- It was seized as per the seizure sheet. Was sent on judicial remand.
