Accenture announces leadership changes in India

Accenture has announced a change in its leadership in India. Rekha Menon, Accenture’s senior managing director and chairperson in India, will retire on June 30, 2023, after a 20-year career with the company, the professional services firm said.
Accenture has now decided to split the duties of the chairman by creating a new role of country managing director and appointed Ajay Vij to that position. Sandeep Dutta will take over as the head of its India market unit.
Accenture said in a statement that as country managing director, Ajay Vij will expand his current responsibilities as corporate services and sustainability for India to provide overall leadership and drive decision making on key company priorities.
Sandeep Datta, currently Sales Lead in India, will now be responsible for driving the business and operations in the domestic market, focusing on growth, market differentiation and customers in his new role.
Accenture said he will also be responsible for working with local business communities and representing the company with local industry and trade bodies.
