ABVP’S National Executive Council Meeting commences in Raipur

Raipur: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad commenced its National Executive Council meeting today at the Indira Gandhi Agricultural University in Raipur, Chattisgarh. The event began with the ceremonial lamp lighting by ABVP National President Dr. Rajsharan Shahi, National General Secretary Dr.Virendra Solanki and National Organising Secretary Shri Ashish Chauhan. Representatives from across the nation were welcomed with traditional Chattisgarhi folk dance and local musical instruments.

During the meeting, four key resolutions were proposed for discussion. These include; regulating coaching institutes across the country, addressing the concerning delay in appointment of vice-chancellors and the rising instability in universities due to political interferences and legal disputes, the need for government and societal alertness towards internal security and Bharat’s multifaceted initiatives in the global order. These resolutions will be deliberated upon over the next two days and will be officially passed on 31st May.

During the inaugural address, ABVP’s National President Dr. Rajsharan Shahi stated,” The recent terror attack in Pahalgam is a blot on the history of humanity. While we are followers of non-violence, we are committed to resisting violence too, as demonstrated by the Indian Army during Operation Sindoor. In present times, the delays in appointing of vice-chancellors represent a neglect of Bharat’s future. In out tradition, the purpose of education ranges from fulling needs of the body that is Annamayya to attaining spiritual bliss that is Anandmaya. We must make educational spaces creative and engaging to provide holistic development of students. This National Executive Council Meeting will aim to set a discourse on education related issues and will aim to bring a significant change.”

ABVP’s National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki stated, “The working nature of our organisation is constantly evolving to bring a constructive change in the society. ABVP has actively resisted the influence of the leftist and negative mindset within educational institutions across the nation. While our armed forces are defeating terrorists, ABVP activitsts are dismantling the leftist strongholds as witnessed in this year’s JNU Students’ Union Elections. It is important to recognize students as stakeholders in the education and the need to collectively work to create youth-centric policies in the present scenarios.”
