Abohar: Body of a 32-year-old woman found in Ganga Canal

Abohar: The body of a 32-year-old woman was found floating in the Gang Canal near Bandiwala Village today. The deceased has been identified as Harpreet alias Noor, who worked in a super store located on Fazilka Road. She was married seven years ago and has a 5-year-old child. Reportedly, due to some dispute with her husband and in-laws, Noor went to her maternal home in Anand Nagri a week ago, but left her child with her husband. This morning, locals found a scooter parked on the banks of the Gang Canal. Initial investigation revealed that Noor was depressed and had gone to meet her son at his school and later she also spoke to one of her relatives on the phone. The Khuikheda police kept the body in the civil hospital.
