Aavin’s statement on milk supply in Chennai

Tamil Nadu: Government-controlled dairy company Aavin has dismissed reports of a milk supply shortage in the state, stating that there have been no milk supply cuts. The company clarified that regular milk supplies continue throughout Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, and consumers need not worry.
Recently, some reports had reported that milk supplies in Tamil Nadu had decreased by approximately 30 percent. These reports also claimed that fewer milk quantities were being delivered than usual, and that many Aavin outlets ran out of milk packets in the morning, causing inconvenience to consumers. These claims raised questions about milk availability.
Amidst these reports, Aavin management issued an official statement clarifying the situation. The company stated that there had been no reduction in milk supply and that the distribution system was operating completely normally. According to management, all types of Aavin milk are being supplied to Chennai city without interruption.
Aavin stated that its distribution network is operating at full capacity as before. The company delivers an average of 1.45 million liters of milk to Chennai consumers every day through its extensive distribution system. This system continues as usual and has not been altered.
Management stated that the information being circulated regarding milk availability does not reflect the actual situation. According to the company, production, packaging, and distribution processes are proceeding normally, and milk is being regularly delivered to all authorized sales centers and outlets.
Aavin also clarified that constant coordination is being maintained with all relevant entities to ensure the required quantity of milk is available to consumers. The company’s objective is to ensure that milk supply is not affected in any part of the state and that people continue to receive milk on time.
Aavin has long been a leading government-owned milk and dairy products supplier in Tamil Nadu. Millions of families in the state rely on Aavin’s milk and other dairy products for their daily needs. Therefore, any news related to milk supply directly impacts consumers.
The company urged consumers to rely only on information released from official sources. If milk is temporarily unavailable at a particular outlet, it should not be assumed that this indicates a statewide supply shortage. Aavin stated that the distribution system is under constant monitoring and supplies are being ensured in various areas as needed.
Management reiterated that regular milk supply continues in all major areas of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, and that reports of milk shortages or widespread distribution cuts in the state are untrue. The company assured that milk will continue to be available to consumers without interruption in the future.
