AAS Punjab Party candidate filed nomination from Khadur Sahib

Tarn Taran: With the release of notification for filing nomination papers for Lok Sabha elections, a candidate, Chain Singh, son of Shinda Singh, filed his nomination papers as ‘Aas Punjab Party’ candidate from Khadoor Sahib constituency. Sandeep Kumar, District Returning Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Tarn Taran.

According to officials, the last date for filing nomination papers is May 14. The nomination papers will be scrutinized on May 15 and nominations can be withdrawn on May 17.

May 10 will be a holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 due to Lord Parshuram Jayanti, but candidates can file their forms. But 11th May and 12th May will be a holiday due to second Saturday and Sunday and nomination papers will not be filed on these days.
The official said that voting will be held on June 1 from 7 am to 6 pm and counting of votes will take place on June 4.
