A youth was arrested while trying to sell a stolen bike, police sent him on remand

Raigarh. This evening, Pusaur police caught a youth roaming around to sell a stolen motorcycle near Chikhli market. A Hero HF CD Deluxe motorcycle stolen from Mangal Bazar Bunga on March 5 has been recovered from the possession of the arrested accused Ram Sidar (28), resident of Chiraipani Punjipathra.

The bike theft report was lodged by Alekh Ram Chauhan (50), resident of village Jevaridih, at Pusaur police station this afternoon. According to the reporter, on the morning of March 5, he went to Mangal Bazar Bunga with his black-red colored motorcycle (CG 13 AC 2075). He locked the vehicle on the road and went to the market for shopping, but on returning found the bike missing. A case was registered against the unknown accused in police station Pusaur under crime number 48/2025 under section 303 (2) BNS and investigation was started.

Information was received from an informer activated by police station in-charge Pusaur that a young man was looking for a buyer of a suspicious motorcycle near Chikhli Bazaar. Immediately, the police team cordoned off the area and caught the accused Ram Sidar, who confessed to the theft during interrogation. The accused told that he had planned to steal the bike from Mangal Bazaar Bunga and sell it. On his memorandum, the bike (CG 13 AC 2075 worth Rs. 25000) was seized and he was arrested and sent on judicial remand. Police station in-charge Rohit Banjare, ASI Umashankar Nayak and accompanying staff played an important role in this action.
