A truck caught fire on the Bilaspur highway; the vehicle was engulfed in flames after an explosion.

Bilaspur. Panic erupted on the Janjgir-Bilaspur highway on Wednesday when a moving truck suddenly caught fire. It is reported that a powerful blast occurred in the truck, after which the fire quickly spread, engulfing the entire vehicle in flames and reducing it to ashes in a short time. The incident created chaos on the highway, and traffic was disrupted for some time. According to the information received, the truck was carrying iron and was traveling from Janjgir towards Bilaspur. As the truck reached a certain point on the highway, a loud explosion was heard. Immediately after the blast, the truck caught fire, and the flames spread rapidly. The driver, showing presence of mind, jumped out of the truck in time and saved his life.

Panic spread among the people nearby as soon as the fire broke out. Within minutes, the truck was completely engulfed in flames. The flames and thick black smoke were visible from a distance, causing other vehicles on the highway to stop. People present at the scene immediately informed the police and the fire department. Police and fire department teams arrived at the spot upon receiving the information. Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control after considerable effort. However, by then the truck was completely destroyed, and the iron loaded in it was also badly damaged. Fortunately, there were no reports of any casualties in the accident. The police secured the accident site and cleared the crowd from the surrounding area.

After the fire was extinguished, work began to remove the remains of the truck from the road so that traffic could be restored. After some time, traffic on the highway returned to normal. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Initially, a technical malfunction or a short circuit leading to the blast is suspected, although official confirmation will only be made after the investigation is complete. Police say the truck driver is also being questioned, and the investigation is proceeding, taking all aspects into account. This incident has once again raised questions about the safety and technical inspection of heavy vehicles operating on highways. The administration has appealed to drivers to have their vehicles inspected regularly and to immediately report any malfunctions to the relevant authorities.
