A school teacher was arrested for asking a Delhi woman for nude photos on Instagram

New Delhi (IANS) | A school teacher in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi has been arrested on charges of stalking a Delhi woman, asking for nude photos and sexual favours. An official of Delhi Police gave this information on Thursday. The accused has been identified as 27-year-old mathematics teacher Sujeet Kumar. According to the police, a woman working in a major hospital in Delhi had lodged a complaint at the Cyber North police station. In which the woman had alleged that an unknown person had made obscene and indecent comments on her Instagram picture.

The victim also said in her complaint that he ignored it and blocked her account. Then a few days later, an unknown ID sent him a message on Instagram. In which he said that he had evidence of some very personal secrets about you (the victim), then he was asked to be nude and sexually intimate.

The victim said in her complaint that he threatened her and said that he would involve her parents in it. A few days later, she received a letter at her doorstep, which contained extremely lewd comments.

Sagar Singh Kalsi, Deputy Commissioner of Police, North, said a case was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. During investigation it was found that the alleged Instagram IDs were created and used in Varanasi.

The accused was arrested from Delhi on Wednesday. During the interrogation, it was revealed that the accused was staying in Buradi, Delhi to prepare for competitive exams in 2019.

In a social gathering, the accused met the victim through a friend. Then one day, he saw a medical report of the victim at his friend’s house, which was very private.

The DCP said that he tried to lure the girl but failed. After this he threatened to have sex with the girl. He said if he did not do so then the personal report would be sent to his parents.
