In the Naxal-affected Bijapur district, the rehabilitation and skill development programs aimed at integrating surrendered Maoists into the mainstream are consistently yielding positive results.
These young people, who have laid down their arms and are starting a new, respectable life within society and their families, are now being provided with new opportunities in education, technical training, and self-employment.
As part of this process, participants were given a special tour of the Central Library in Bijapur today. They received in-depth information on book studies, educational materials, world maps, and topics related to space science. The participants also had the opportunity to observe the moon, stars, and planets through a telescope, gaining a firsthand understanding of the world of science.
