A pickup truck carrying 63 sacks of illegal paddy was seized in Mahasamund district.
Balodabazar. As per the instructions of Collector Deepak Soni, strict monitoring is being done on illegal paddy transportation and storage in the district. Continuous checks are being conducted at wholesalers and check posts, which is foiling the intention of selling illegal paddy.
In this connection, on Sunday, in the village of Rawan in the Barnawapara area, a pickup carrying 63 sacks of illegal paddy from Mahasamund district was seized and handed over to Rajadevri police station. According to the information received, Tehsildar Sonakhan Luv Kumar questioned a pickup transporting paddy in village Rawan and asked for documents.
On which the driver informed about transporting paddy from Mahasamund district but did not present any documents. As per the information given by the driver, 63 sacks of paddy were found in the pickup, which was handed over to Rajadevri police station along with the pickup.
