A person going home on a bike was hit by a car, died on the spot

Fatehgarh Sahib. There is news of death of a person riding a motorcycle in a road accident near village Baldi Khurd on Sirhind-Chandigarh road. The motorcycle rider was the son of the former sarpanch of the village.

Giving information in this regard in Civil Hospital, Assistant SHO Balwinder Singh of Police Station Badali Ala Singh said that Manpreet Singh, son of Harminder Singh, resident of village Bhairopur, told the police that he and his cousin brother Gurpinder Singh alias Hardev Singh, resident of village Bhairopur Badali. Son Rinku had gone to buy household items from Ala Singh in different vehicles.

When he was returning at around 9.30 pm, Gurpinder Singh was driving a motorcycle. He was chasing her on his scooter, when he reached near village Baldi Khurd, the car following him hit his motorcycle and the driver fled from the spot along with the car. Gurpinder Singh died on the spot.

On the statements of Manpreet Singh, a case has been registered against the car driver and the body of Gurpinder Singh has been handed over to the heirs after post-mortem at Civil Hospital Fatehgarh Sahib. On this occasion, senior Akali leaders Baljit Singh Bhutta, Gurnam Singh Bhairopur and other villagers were also present in the Civil Hospital.
