A launch pad for those aiming to build a career in global media

Delhi Delhi: Delhi has got a world-class training institute for media and creative skills. Preparations for the launch of the institute have been completed and it will be formally inaugurated soon. Currently, the institute named Indian Institute of Creative Skills (IICS) is organizing the ‘Delhi Creators Summit’ in collaboration with the Media and Entertainment Skills Council (MESC). It is worth mentioning that MESC is affiliated with the National Skill Development Council (NSDC). The ‘Delhi Creators Summit’ to be held from March 21 to 23 will bring together highly influential personalities from the world of film, television, music, beauty product manufacturing and media. According to Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and Managing Director of NSDC International, the Indian Institute of Creative Skills (IICS) is an important milestone for NSDC in establishing India as a global center of creative excellence. The initiative launched by the Media and Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) under the NSDC Academy is designed to provide world-class skill development and industry-aligned training. With a unique blend of industry-based learning, live projects and paid apprenticeships, the institute will serve as a launchpad for aspiring creative professionals. “I congratulate the teams of NSDC and MESC for their dedication and look forward to the transformative impact of this institute in shaping the future of India’s creative talent,” said Shri Tiwari. Speaking to media persons, Dr Mohit Soni, CEO, MESC (IICS) said, “We are not just launching a training institute but are set to establish a global launchpad for those aiming to make a career in the world of film and media creative skills. Currently, a two-year training course is being run at the Delhi centre, which will also include six months of on-job training in a project.”
