A drunken soldier beats his two-year-old daughter, leads to death

Dehradun. A military father, under the influence of alcohol, brutally beat his two-year-old daughter. When the daughter’s condition became critical, she was treated in three hospitals of the city, but could not be saved. Based on the statement of the constable’s wife, the police have registered a case and started investigation.

Patelnagar Kotwali in-charge Kamal Kumar Lunti said that Banjarawala Rajeshwari Colony located in Neera had lodged a complaint. I was told that she lives in a rented house with her husband Anand Singh and two-year-old daughter. Her husband is in the army. Whenever he comes home on holidays, he drinks and beats his two-year-old daughter.

I was told that when she protested, he even threatened her. He came home on leave in December last year. Then on January 10, he beat his daughter badly while under the influence of alcohol. Due to this the daughter’s condition became serious. She first took him to Mahant Indiresh, then to MH and when his condition did not improve she took him to Max Hospital. But on January 13, the daughter died during treatment.

She claimed that her daughter died because her husband beat her badly. On January 15, her husband also tried to murder her by strangulating her. Then somehow he saved his life. In this matter, Patelnagar police station in-charge said that after the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused husband. The case is under investigation.
