A dead body was found in an empty plot near the Central Jail in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: A person was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Saturday in a vacant plot near Ludhiana Central Jail. After getting information about the incident, panic spread among the people nearby. The deceased has not been identified yet. A person named Lucky informed the police after seeing the body. He told that he works as a watchman in the area. He came to the spot at 10 am today and saw that the person was lying in the vacant plot. When he went closer, he was surprised to see that the person was lying dead. After this he informed the police. The police kept the body in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital. SI Janak Raj said that the body has been recovered from the vacant plot. Investigation of the case has been started. CCTV cameras installed in the area and nearby are being examined to get any clue in the case. Police said that the person must have died due to excessive drinking. The real cause will be known only after the post-mortem report comes.
