A case should be filed against Valmiki Karad under section 302: Congress demands

Maharashtra: SIT was appointed to investigate Santosh Deshmukh murder case. The officers in this SIT are from Beed district. They are also acquainted with the accused, I would not say they are close friends but they know the accused. So, we are demanding that these officers be replaced, said Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar.

Valmik Karad has been arrested in an extortion case. A Dalit watchman in Avadda company was beaten up in an extortion case. Since the watchman belonged to the Dalit community, the village sarpanch intervened and asked the extortionists to leave. This was Santosh Deshmukh’s crime. In retaliation, Santosh Deshmukh was brutally murdered. The strings of this case are clearly connected to Valmik Karad. So, we have also demanded that a case be registered against Valmik Karad under section 302, said Vijay Wadettiwar.

Chhagan Bhujbal watched the press conference. He has said not to resign until the allegations are proven. I have only one question that Chhagan Bhujbal was also accused. Why did he have to go to jail? Did the people of that time not understand wisdom? There are examples of many ministers like Vilasrao Deshmukh and R.R. Patil resigning. They were also only accused. Now, if there are allegations in a crime like murder, then they should resign. Because evidence is being suppressed and destroyed in this case, so we are demanding the resignation of Dhananjay Munde. No one will agree with Chhagan Bhujbal’s statement. An accused is an accused, no matter what caste, creed or religion he belongs to. However, whatever form it is being given now, it is being given as OBC vs Maratha, but there is no truth in it. The accused who committed inhuman murder should be punished. Also, our demand is that those who are obstructing the investigation should be removed from power, Wadettiwar said.
