A case has been filed against Abhishek Banerjee for making inflammatory remarks in his election speeches.

Tamil Nadu: Tensions have once again escalated in West Bengal politics. Police have filed a case against Abhishek Banerjee, a Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP and a close relative of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He has been accused of making inflammatory remarks in his election campaign speeches and disturbing public order and social harmony.

The case was registered at the Bhagwati police station in North 24 Parganas district. Police filed the case based on a complaint from a social activist named Rajiv Charger. The complaint alleges that Abhishek Banerjee made inflammatory and objectionable statements about Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his election campaign.

The complainant states that these comments created a tense atmosphere in the area and negatively impacted social harmony. Based on this, the police have initiated an investigation. Further legal action and investigation are currently underway.

Amidst this development, the post-election political situation in West Bengal remains under discussion. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that incidents of violence against its supporters occurred in the state after the elections. The party claims that clashes broke out between Trinamool Congress workers and BJP supporters at several locations.

The Trinamool Congress has also responded, claiming that its workers were attacked. The party has formed fact-finding teams to investigate the matter, which have been sent to three districts in the state: North 24 Parganas, East Medinipur, and Hooghly.

The TMC says the purpose of these teams is to investigate the incidents on the ground and prepare reports to reveal the true situation. The party has also alleged that incidents of politically motivated violence in some places are being exaggerated.

On the other hand, opposition parties claim that political tensions have increased in the state following the election results and that the law and order situation has been affected in many areas. This entire incident has once again sparked heated debate in the state’s politics.

According to police officials, the case filed against Abhishek Banerjee is being investigated, and related speeches and video footage will also be reviewed. Further legal action will be taken if necessary.

Overall, the alleged inflammatory statements related to the election campaign and the subsequent heightened political tension in the state have once again made the situation in West Bengal sensitive. All eyes are now on what the investigation reveals and what stance the political parties take on the matter.
