A budget of Rs 7 crore 17 lakh has been allocated for fairs and festivals.
The tourism department has allocated a budget of about Rs 7 crore 17 lakh for the fairs and festivals to be organized in the financial year 2023-24. Many major fairs and festivals like Pushkar, Camel Fair, Ranakpur Festival, Desert Festival are organized by the department every year in different regions of the state.
Tourism Minister Shri Vishvendra Singh said that fairs, festivals and festivals of Rajasthan have their own identity. He told that Rajasthan is a multicolored state. A wide range of customs and festivals are observed here.
The Tourism Minister informed that the state government is working with commitment to promote tourism and folk artists of the state. Every possible effort is being made to keep alive the folk culture and art of the state, to give it national and international recognition. He told that tourism is an important sector. Presently various activities in this sector are increasing at a rapid pace. In order to make Rajasthan tourism accessible to the country and the world, the Department of Tourism is doing extensive publicity through print, social and digital media through effective media campaigns, attractive creatives and short films.
