A 21-year-old rape victim committed suicide by hanging herself in Bhind

Madhya Pradesh: A rape victim committed suicide in Bhind district. A 21-year-old girl hanged herself to death in Deori village of Daboh district. Giving information, the family members of the deceased said that about a month ago the accused kidnapped their daughters from their home on the pretext of marriage. After this, the accused took the girl back to his house after ten days. When the girl started talking about marriage, the accused broke his promise. After this, the girl reached the police station and told the whole story to the police. The girl told that the accused raped her on the pretext of marriage. On the basis of the girl’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused. Then the accused were arrested and the investigation of the case started. But a few days later the court released the accused on bail.

Family members accused the police

Meanwhile, on Saturday late evening, the girl committed suicide by hanging herself in her house. There was no one at home at that time. When the family members saw her hanging on the noose, they informed the police. When the police reached the spot and took the girl’s body for post-mortem, the family members protested. After this, the family members blocked the Bhind-Bhander highway. The family members blocked the road for about an hour. The family members demand that senior police officers reach the spot and listen to the complaint. After this, Additional SP Sanjeev Pathak took over the matter. He spoke to the family members and asked why the road was blocked. The angry family members told Additional Police Spokesperson Sanjeev Pathak that ASI Bhan Singh posted at Daboha police station was constantly pressuring the daughter of the rape victim to compromise. After this the daughter committed suicide. After this, on the instructions of SP Asit Yadav, Additional SP Sanjeev Pathak immediately took the ASI out of the police station and made him sit in the police circle and assured the victim’s family of proper justice. Only then did the family open the blockade. The police have now done the post-mortem of the body and handed it over to the family. The family even claims that the accused were roaming around with illegal weapons, so strict action should be taken against the accused.
