Molestation of girl students outside coaching centre, two accused arrested
Muzaffarnagar: In Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, masked miscreants on bikes molested some girl students outside a coaching centre. Their act was captured in CCTV camera. Two accused have been arrested.
The incident took place in Gandhi Colony of Nai Mandi Kotwali area. The accused molested some girl students outside a coaching centre and fled from the spot after threatening to kill them.
After the CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media, Minister of State (Independent Charge) in Uttar Pradesh Government Kapil Dev Agarwal took cognizance. He has complained about it to Muzaffarnagar SSP Abhishek Singh and asked him to take immediate action. After the minister’s complaint, the police officers came into action mode. Two teams have been formed to arrest the accused.
With the promptness of the top officials, two accused Ujjwal and Shobhit were arrested. Both are residents of City Muzaffarnagar. The police have also recovered the motorcycle used in the incident from the accused.
At present, the police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim students and have started the process of sending both the accused behind bars. Police officials say that the other two absconding accused will also be arrested soon.
SP City Satyanarayan Prajapat said, “An incident of molestation of girls and threat to kill them by three unknown accused came to light near Thana Nai Mandi. Taking immediate action in this regard, a case was registered against the accused in Thana Nai Mandi.”
He said that the safety of women and girls is the top priority of Muzaffarnagar Police and strict action will be taken against anyone who tries to tamper with their safety.
