Shrikant Sharma in-charge of BJP in Municipal Corporation Shimla election, appointed by National President JP Nadda

Uttar Pradesh MLA Shrikant Sharma has been appointed in-charge of Shimla Municipal Corporation elections by the BJP. BJP National President JP Nadda has given him the charge of Municipal Corporation Shimla elections. In this context, a notification has been issued by BJP’s National General Secretary Arun Singh.

This appointment has been issued with immediate effect. Candidates of both BJP and Congress have filed nomination papers for Shimla Municipal Corporation elections. Nomination papers will be scrutinized today. Elections are to be held for Shimla Municipal Corporation on 2nd May and the election results were declared on 4th May. In the year 2017, the BJP captured the Municipal Corporation for the first time. In such a situation, it will be a challenge for the BJP to maintain its dominance in the Shimla Municipal Corporation elections. BJP is ready to take all possible steps to fight this challenge.
