Cabinet approved 8 projects of National High Speed Road Corridor
Business Business: Important decisions were taken in the Union Cabinet meeting held on Friday (August 2) under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The cabinet approved 8 important projects of the National High Speed Road Corridor. There are three high-speed road corridors in Uttar Pradesh. These include Agra-Gwalior (6 lanes), Kanpur Ring Road Corridor (6 lanes) and Ayodhya Ring Road Corridor (4 lanes). 4 lane ring road in Ram Nagari Ayodhya
Ram Nagari Ayodhya has got the gift of a 4-lane ring road. The 68 km, 4-lane, access-controlled Ayodhya Ring Road will be developed at a cost of Rs 3,935 crore. The bypass will reduce congestion on national highways passing through the city such as NH 27 (East West Corridor), NH 227 A, NH 227 B. With the construction of this bypass road, faster movement of devotees coming to visit Ram Mandir will be possible. Kanpur 6-lane ring road approved. Apart from the 4-lane ring road in Ayodhya, Kanpur has got the gift of a 6-lane ring road. The 47 km long 6-lane access controlled section will be constructed at a cost of Rs 3,298 crore. This ring road will separate long distance traffic from the traffic coming from the city on major national highways like NH 19, NH 27 East West Corridor, NH 34 and the upcoming Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway and Ganga Expressway.
Gift of 6 lane Agra-Gwalior corridor
The 6 lane corridor from the Taj city of Agra to Gwalior has also got the green signal from the Union Cabinet. After the construction of this corridor, the journey between Agra and Gwalior will be completed in half the time. An 88 km long high-speed corridor will be developed at a cost of Rs 4,613 crore. CM Yogi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the 4-lane ring road project in Ayodhya. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on the social media platform that this will not only improve connectivity but will also help in infrastructure development.
