Yellow alert for heavy rain in 18 districts
Raipur: The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain for 18 districts. Let us tell you that due to continuous rain in Chhattisgarh, flood-like conditions have arisen in many places. Due to the overflowing of rivers and streams, many villages have lost contact with the district headquarters. On Saturday, 4 officers were swept away in the water in SECL’s Kusmunda mine in Korba, three have been rescued, while the body of another officer has been recovered after 16 hours.
17 students who went to school got stuck due to the rising water level of Khairanale in Kharipathra of Gariaband. These children of Kotaradongri, Tekenpara, Khola Bahal village had to stay at their relatives’ house. After the water level decreased on Sunday morning, the children have been sent home safely. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district today.
Along with this, heavy rain is expected in most of the districts of Bastar and Bilaspur divisions. It has been raining heavily in Raipur since morning. Due to heavy rains in Bijapur and Sukma districts, people’s lives are being affected due to floods in many areas.
