MBBS student committed suicide by hanging herself in GMCH-32
Chandigarh: A third-year MBBS student of Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals, Sector 32, allegedly hanged herself in her hostel room. Sources claimed that the police have found a suicide note and the matter is being investigated. The incident took place on Monday evening. According to preliminary investigation, the victim was alone in her room and did not respond to calls from her friends.
“Her friends repeatedly knocked on the door. However, there was no response. They informed the concerned authorities. The door of her room was broken and she was found lying unconscious on the ground. A rope was hanging from the fan,” an eyewitness said. The student was rushed to the emergency medical authorities. They tried to save her. She recovered after the doctors’ efforts, but died after some time. Sources claimed that she had taken admission under the NRI quota and had some personal problems.
