Manipur: Army helps in road repair in Bishnupur district

Imphal: In its efforts to provide relief measures to the local communities, the Indian Army extended its assistance for road repair at Phogakachao Ikhai Awang Lekhai in Bishnupur district of Manipur, an official said. A vital road connecting Phogakachao Awang Lekhai to National Highway 2 was damaged due to heavy rains during the last month.
The villagers sought the Army’s assistance. Responding promptly, the Army, in collaboration with the locals, provided repair assistance and resources. The joint effort ensured restoration of safe and accessible routes for the community. It said the repair work was completed in two days.
