Rupnagar: A man sentenced to 70 years in prison for killing his wife, sister-in-law and nephew

Rupnagar: On Saturday, a Rupnagar court sentenced Alam, a resident of Morinda in ward number one of Sugar Mill Road, to three life imprisonments for murdering his wife, sister-in-law and his wife’s nephew, and injuring another nephew. The accused will have to serve a total sentence of 70 years. On the night of June 3, 2020, Alam brutally murdered his wife Kajal, sister-in-law Jaspreet Kaur and her son Sahil by attacking them with an axe while they both were sleeping. Apart from this, he also tried to kill his wife’s other son Bobby, who was living at her maternal home.
