Gyanvapi case will be heard in Supreme Court on 23 July

Delhi. The Supreme Court will hear the next Gyanvapi case of Varanasi on Tuesday. The case will be heard by a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice DY. Chandrachud, which will also have two other ex-officio judges Justice JB. Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra. Earlier, the Supreme Court has issued notice to trial court petitioner Shailendra Vyas on the petition of the mosque side against worship in the basement of Vyas ji. This hearing will be on the petition filed by the Anjuman Intezamia Committee against the permission given by the District Court of Varanasi to worship in the basement of Vyas ji. The District Court of Varanasi, while hearing the petition of Shailendra Vyas, had allowed worship in the basement of Vyas ji. Which was upheld by the Allahabad High Court despite the objection of the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee. Shailendra Vyas had filed a petition in the District Court Varanasi demanding service and worship of deities in the basement of Vyas ji of Gyanvapi complex located in Varanasi Kashi Vishwanath temple complex. After which, on the petition of Shailendra Vyas, the Varanasi District and Sessions Court had allowed worship in the basement of Vyas ji.

Against this decision, the Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Committee filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court, demanding a stay on the decision of the district court. However, the High Court refused to stay the decision of the district court. After which the Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Committee approached the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has heard the matter on several dates. Earlier, in the last hearing of the case, Huzaifa Ahmadi, the lawyer of the mosque side, had told the Supreme Court about the way to go to the mosque.

Huzaifa Ahmadi told the court that we are continuously losing part of the mosque, the Supreme Court itself has protected the Wazukhana area. The place of the mosque is being continuously encroached upon. Just like in the Supreme Court, there are many canteens below the CJI Court, it should be said that those canteens are not a part of the Supreme Court, the same has happened in this case also.
