CG Rape: Woman raped by threatening her with uniform, accused arrested

Janjgir-Champa. Police has arrested constable Ashok Bharti (33) accused of raping a woman for 2 years in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh. The accused kept raping the woman by threatening her with the police uniform. The constable was posted at Champa police station. The case is from City Kotwali police station area. While registering a report at City Kotwali police station, the victim woman said that after a dispute between her and her husband 2 years ago, the case was going on at the family counseling center. At the same time, constable Ashok Bharti was posted at the family counseling center.

In the meantime, both of them got acquainted. Constable Ashok Bharti said that he would make the case stronger. Both of them started talking about work on the phone. Meanwhile, the accused raped the woman forcefully. After this, he raped her several times for 2 consecutive years by threatening her with the police uniform. The case was registered by the City Kotwali police. During the investigation, constable Ashok Bharti was taken into police custody and interrogated. The accused has confessed his crime.
