Youth commits suicide by jumping from hotel in Kochi, suicide note recovered

KOCHI: A 23-year-old youth committed suicide by jumping from top of the bar hotel in Kadavanthra. He has been identified as Chris George Abraham of Vyttila. He jumped from the 11th floor of the hotel building. The incident happened Monday afternoon. The police have recovered a suicide note suspected to have been written by the youth.

The reason for him to take the drastic step is not known. He ended his life at a time when he was about to go abroad after completing studies. Chris, who reached the hotel this morning, went straight to the roof top and then jumped from there. He fell in front of the hotel gate. Though the police rushed the seriously injured youth to the hospital, his life could not be saved.

Chris’s suicide note said, ‘All good things have an end, when my good things end, I will also die, after death, bury my body in the cemetery.’ The police have started an investigation into the incident. The body has been shifted to Ernakulam General Hospital. After the post-mortem, the body will be released to his relatives.
