The new generation of KTM 390 Adventure is back
Business Business : The next gen 390 Adventure by KTM is being tested and is in its final stages. The competition in the adventure touring segment has recently intensified with the launch of the RE Himalayan 450. The competition is going to get even more intense with the launch of the KTM 390 Adventure. The brand is likely preparing to unveil the new 390 Adventure at the EICMA 2024 in Milan in November. Aesthetically and mechanically, the new model features several significant changes. It is expected to launch in India in early 2025. It is likely to be available in multiple variants including an enduro version.
At the front, there is a vertical headlamp unit with two LED headlights and a tall, rally-style windshield. Apart from this, the motorcycle features a floating front end and a completely redesigned body. The 2025 KTM 390 ADV features a new trellis frame and a coloured TFT instrument panel similar to the latest 390 Duke.
Depending on the modification, spoke wheels measuring 21 or 19 inches are installed at the front and 17 inches at the rear. Suspension includes fully adjustable long trail inverted front forks and an offset rear wheel with a monoshock, as seen in the latest spy images. The spoke variant will likely be offered only with tubular all-terrain tyres.
The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure will feature front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, a bi-directional quickshifter for smooth shifting, connectivity options, switchable traction control for better traction, multiple riding modes, and an updated seat, among other features. The upcoming motorcycle is powered by a 399cc DOHC, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine derived from the 390 Duke. This engine generates 45.3 hp at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 39 Nm at 6500 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and has an anti-jump and assist clutch as standard.
