The heat continues between North Korea and South Korea. North Korea fired two ballistic missiles towards the northeastern direction. Let us tell you that this action has been taken in response to the joint military exercise of America, South Korea, and Japan. North Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff has given information about the missile launch.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff has said that the missiles were launched 10 minutes away from the city of Jangyon in southeastern North Korea in the northeastern direction. It said the first missile flew 600 kilometers (370 miles) and the second missile flew 120 kilometers (75 miles), but did not say where they fell. North Korea usually tests missiles towards its eastern waters, but the flight of the second missile was too low to reach the water areas. The first missile was fired towards the north-east at around 5:05 am. The second missile was launched at 5:15. Reports said the first missile fell into the waters of the North’s eastern city of Chongjin.
Let us tell you that earlier on Sunday, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry condemned the military exercises of South Korea, the US and Japan. He said that the country would take aggressive and heavy retaliation against it. Earlier on Wednesday, North Korea fired ballistic missiles towards the East Sea.
At the same time, a South Korean military source said that it is very likely that the second missile crashed in the inland area of the North. Possible damage on the ground of the North was not immediately reported. South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff also recently said that South Korea maintains a firm readiness to thwart any provocations from North Korea through its military alliance with the United States.
