Surat: Fake call center running near Gujarat Gas Circle busted

Police raided Shakuntal Complex near Gujarat Gas Circle in Adajan area of the city. Police has busted the fake call center running inside the office. Police has taken legal action by arresting a total of six people from the office.

Police has succeeded in busting a fake call center running in Rander area of Surat. The personnel of the surveillance staff were on patrol under the direction and guidance of PI AS Sonara of Rander police station. At that time the police had received concrete information about the fake call centre. The police have arrested call center operators Kadeer alias Guru Munawar Syed, Sufiyan Ayaz Hussain Ansari, Rizwan Mohd Khan, Samia Ismail Razak Shaikh and Ayesha Sajid Iqbal Khokhar.

Fraud was done by setting in the software

In the investigation of the accused, the police found that the accused Qadir alias Gudu Syed used to obtain the mobile number and email ID of the paying customers from QR Market Palace through Google search. Then after that the link of Global Export Technology website was sent through WhatsApp. Used to enter data entry related work information on this website and data related to his company’s mail id and customer care number, contract form. 80 to 85 percent accuracy was arranged in return for the work and money was to be given only after 90 percent was achieved in the contract and customers were told in calling to pay Rs 5500 if the contract was violated.

Used to collect 20 to 25 thousand on the pretext of breach of contract

Kadir, the owner of the call centre, used to call the customers demanding money from them for breach of contract and if they did not pay, he would file an FIR and transfer the amount of 20,000 to 25,000 from the customers to their account. The police have registered a case and arrested all of them. Rander police has taken legal action by confiscating the computer, laptop, SIM card mobile etc. of the accused.
