Dantewada. In Dantewada district, under the guidance of Inspector General of Police Bastar Range Sundarraj P. (IPS), Deputy Inspector General of Police Dantewada Range Kamlochan Kashyap (IPS), Deputy Inspector General of Police (Provision) CRPF Dantewada Range Vikas Katheria (IPS), Superintendent of Police Dantewada Gaurav Rai (IPS), Additional Superintendent of Police Smritik Rajnala (IPS) and Additional Superintendent of Police Dantewada Shri Ramkumar Barman (RPS), under the Lon Varratu (Come back home) Naxal eradication campaign and the “Rehabilitation Policy” of the Chhattisgarh Government, the District Police Force and CRPF are continuously contacting and communicating with the stray Maoists to integrate them into the mainstream of society. Also, the administration’s Naxal rehabilitation policy is being widely publicized in every village, as a result of which this change is visible in the Maoist cadres and a large number of Maoist cadres are surrendering. Tired of the inhuman, baseless ideology of Naxalites and their exploitation, atrocities and violence on local tribals, the youth who strayed towards Naxalism have now resolved to join the mainstream of the society and have joined the banned organization respectively 1.
