Andhra News: Actor Suman demands film city in Andhra Pradesh

Anantapur. Tollywood veteran actor Suman has attacked Telugu Desam (TD)-led Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday urged the Telugu Desam (TD)-led Andhra Pradesh government to prioritise the Amaravati capital city project as well as the development of the state’s film industry. Suman, who visited Tirumala on Saturday to pay obeisance to Lord Venkateswara Swamy, later interacted with the media. He congratulated the NDA on its victory in the recent assembly elections and highlighted the need to revive development efforts, which according to him had slowed down in the last five years.

Suman expressed confidence that the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is crucial for the overall development of the state. He stressed on attracting industries and IT companies to create employment opportunities for the youth. Acknowledging Naidu’s key role in the development of Hyderabad, Suman emphasised the importance of transforming Amaravati into a metropolitan city to compete with other states.

Suman went a step further and proposed setting up film cities at strategic locations in Andhra Pradesh. He also identified Tirupati, East Godavari and West Godavari districts as potential sites to encourage film production within the state.

In a separate development, actor Sai Dharam Tej, nephew of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, fulfilled his vow by walking from Alipiri to Tirumala temple. Dharam Tej had already announced that he would undertake the pilgrimage to honour his uncle’s victory in the election. The video of his journey gained a lot of attention on social media.
