Lord Jagannath Invited To Swearing In Ceremony Of Odisha CM
Puri: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has invited Lord Jagannath to grace the swearing-in ceremony of the Odisha Chief Minister, said reports on Tuesday. According to reports, a three-member team of BJP representatives consisting of MLA Prabhati Parida, MLA Ashrit Pattanayak and Prithiviraj Harichandan visited the world famous Puri Jagannath Temple.
They invited Lord Jagannath with the ceremonial offerings of coconut, beetle nut and invitation card as is done in traditional Odia culture. They also sought the blessing of Lord Jagannath for the occasion, said reliable reports.
Earlier today along with Lord Jagannath being invited to swearing ceremony. The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik has been invited for the swearing in ceremony of Odisha Chief Minister, said reports in this regard. According to reports, State BJP President Manmohan Samal, Suresh Pujari, Basanta Panda and Nityananda Ganda visited Naveen Patnaik to invite him to the swearing-in ceremony.
The representative team reached Naveen Niwas to personally handover the invitation card to BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik. He has been invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony that is scheduled to be held on Wednesday.
Tomorrow the BJP Chief Minister will take oath for the first time in Odisha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers of various states and Union Ministers are coming to Odisha to participate in the swearing-in ceremony. After inviting the former CM Manmohan Samal said, Naveen Patnaik has agreed to grace the oath-taking ceremony at 4:15 pm.
On the other hand, in view of the swearing-in ceremony and the visit of the Prime Minister, the Commissionerate Police has issued a 5-hour traffic restriction. Vehicular traffic has been banned from Jaydev Vihar to Nalco Street from 2 pm to 7 pm. Similarly all roads connecting this route will also be sealed. The Police Commissioner clarified that there will be no traffic on this road either.
