Sale and adoption: AP Child Rights Commission issues guidelines
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Child Rights Commission has ordered immediate action against illegal sale and adoption of children in the state. Commission chairperson Keshali Appa Rao issued directions to the director of women development and child welfare department of Guntur and also sought an investigation into the matter.
Police have swung into action and out of 60 children rescued from illegal adoption and sale, 16 have been identified and sent to Shishuvihar in Hyderabad. Appa Rao said it is important to ensure the safety of children through strict monitoring against their possible sale and purchase across the state.
