Third minor accused arrested in journalist’s murder case
Manendragarh. The police has arrested the third minor accused in the murder of local journalist Raees Ahmed in Manendragarh district of Chhattisgarh. Police has caught him from Garhwa. Now he has been sent to a juvenile home. Journalist’s wife Safina and her lover Arzoo Khan have already been arrested in this case. In fact, the blood-soaked body of journalist Raees Ahmed (32) was found on the morning of 16 May in Chanwaridand, Manendragarh. He lived in a rented house with his wife Safina and daughter at some distance from the incident site. Police investigation revealed that Safina’s lover, along with his associate, murdered Raees Ahmed and ran away after throwing the body.
Police had arrested Raees Ahmed’s wife Safina on Friday. Safina’s boyfriend Arzoo Khan (20) was arrested from Beohari in Madhya Pradesh. He was preparing to flee to Gujarat due to fear of being caught. Manendragarh police reached Garhwa to arrest the associate of Arzoo Khan, the third accused in this case. Police caught the accused. When the documents were checked regarding his age, he turned out to be a minor. The police took him along with his family members to Manendragarh. He was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, Baikunthpur. From where he has been sent to a juvenile home. Police investigation revealed that the main accused Arzoo Khan previously lived in a rented house in Safina’s house in Manendragarh. Before Safina’s marriage, she was in a love affair with Arzoo Khan. On Safina’s request, Arzoo had reached Manendragarh with his colleague. Both of them had committed the crime of murder.
