Deputy Ranger murdered, person who crushed him with Bolero arrested

Raigarh. Yesterday, the police had received information about the sudden death of Deputy Ranger Sanjay Tiwari in a road accident under Dharamjaigarh police station area, on investigation of which the case has come to light of a planned murder by Basant Yadav, accused of old enmity, by crushing him with a vehicle. Dharamjaigarh police cracked the case within 24 hours and arrested the accused and sent him on judicial remand.

Yesterday at around 03.00 pm, Assistant Forest Range Officer (Deputy Ranger) Sanjay Tiwari, father Gokul Prasad Tiwari, riding a Hero Glamor bike, was hit by an unknown Bolero vehicle near Dharamjaigarh Main Road Agricultural Produce Market, 53 years old, resident of Kashtagar Forest Colony, Dharamjaigarh. He suffered serious injuries and was admitted to Civil Hospital Dharamjaygarh, where the doctor declared him brought dead. After the investigation in police station Dharamjaygarh, an FIR was registered against unknown accused. 137/2024 The crime was registered under Section 304 A IPC and taken into consideration. During investigation, an unknown Bolero vehicle was traced from eyewitnesses and CCTV footage, in which evidence was found of Bolero number CG 13 UE 0377 causing the incident. The police team immediately raided village Beharapara and detained the accused Basant Kumar Yadav, the driver of the vehicle. Accused Basant Kumar Yadav had a rivalry with the deceased Sanjay Tiwari. SDOP Dharamjaigarh Mr. Siddhant Tiwari instructed Dharamjaigarh Police to investigate all aspects closely. When the investigating officer interrogated the accused Basant Yadav through scientific methods, the accused told that he killed Sanjay Tiwari by crushing him with a Bolero vehicle due to old enmity.

Accused Basant Kumar Yadav, father Balmukund Yadav, age 50 years, resident of Beharapara police station Dharamjaigarh, told in his memorandum statement that he was having a dispute with his ex Sanjay Tiwari. He was looking for an opportunity to plot the murder of Sanjay Tiwari. On the afternoon of 16th May, Basant Yadav was going to Nagdarha in Bolero vehicle CG 13 UE 0377. At the same time he saw Sanjay Tiwari coming from Dharamjaygarh on a motorcycle Hero Glamour.
