Excise constable accused of forcibly beating, FIR registered

Rajnandgaon. A flute player of a private school, resident of Ambagarh Chowki in Mohla-Manpur district, was beaten by an excise constable in the presence of a woman officer while having food in a dhaba. A complaint has been lodged with the police against the constable regarding this matter. The police have registered the crime.

According to the information received, Toman Nirmalkar, a resident of Ambagarh Chowki city, had reached Sangwari Dhaba with one of his friends to have lunch. During this time, around 1.30 pm, a female officer of the Excise Department called Toman. During the conversation, Excise Department constable Bhupendra Verma came from behind and beat the youth. The people present in the dhaba were shocked by this incident which happened in the presence of the lady officer.

The constable beat the victim for misbehaving with a female officer. Frustrated by the beating, the young man lodged a police complaint against the excise constable. Police have registered the crime and started searching for the excise constable.
