Nominations filed from 23 assembly and two Lok Sabha constituencies in Godavari districts

Kakinada: The process of filing nominations for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections began with much fanfare in East and West Godavari districts on Thursday.

23 candidates filed nominations for the Assembly and two candidates filed their nomination papers for the Lok Sabha constituencies.
Suryanarayana Reddy, a resident of Aravali village in Attili mandal of West Godavari district, filed his nomination from Narsapuram Lok Sabha constituency on behalf of the Indian National Congress.

Seven candidates filed their nominations in East Godavari district, including Telugu Desam candidate Adireddy Srinivas, who reached the polling booth with a huge procession. Talari Venkateswara Rao and Talari Param Jyoti filed nomination on behalf of YSRC from Kovvur constituency. YSRC candidate Geddam Srinivas Naidu filed nomination from Nidadavolu constituency. Gopalapuram Telugu Desam candidate Maddithapathi Venkata Raju also filed his nomination.

Kakinada District Collector J. Nivas said four candidates filed their nominations for assembly constituencies in the district.
In Konaseema district, Pilli Surya Prakash and Rajya Sabha member Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose filed nomination from Ramachandrapuram assembly constituency on behalf of the YSRC. Chilurumili Kirankumar filed nomination on behalf of Jana Sena as an independent candidate from Mummidivaram assembly constituency and Amalapuram assembly constituency.

In Eluru district, Alapathy Narasimha Murthy of Munduru village in Pedavegi mandal filed nomination on behalf of the Indian National Congress from Denduluru assembly constituency. Liberation Congress Party candidate Mendem Santosh Kumar filed nomination from Eluru Lok Sabha constituency.
YSRC candidate and former Deputy Chief Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas alias Nani filed his nomination from Eluru assembly constituency. Jana Sena Party candidate Chirri Balaraju filed his nomination from Polavaram assembly constituency.
