AAP releases third list of candidates in Karnataka
Bengaluru (IANS) | The Karnataka unit of the Aam Aadmi Party on Monday released the third list of candidates for the May 10 assembly elections. There are 28 names in this list. All the candidates are contesting for the first time.
In a statement, the party claimed that not only has it announced the names of candidates for the highest number of seats so far, it has also provided an honest choice to the people in 168 out of 224 assembly constituencies.
It said that AAP has given tickets to maximum number of farmers, youth, women and educated professionals.
Aam Aadmi Party said, the yardstick to decide the winnability of our candidates is their honesty and sense of service and not muscle power. The people of Karnataka are fed up with all the three traditional parties. That’s why, giving you the real challenge.
The party said the average age of its candidates is 47 years. We have given tickets to 16 farmers, 13 women, 18 advocates, 10 doctors and 10 engineers. Five candidates have doctorate degree. Apart from these, 41 post graduate and 82 graduate pass out.
He said, we will fight the elections on the strength of our candidates and our work done in Delhi and Punjab. We want a chance to give administration to the people. We are confident that the people of Karnataka will bless us with their support and votes.
AAP’s state media coordinator Jagdish V. Sadam said, Congress, the oldest party and BJP, the world’s largest party, are definitely nervous about AAP’s entry in Karnataka. They are afraid that their politics of loot will end. They are trying to harm your campaign by threatening and luring the candidates with their money power and muscle power.
