Make sure students stay hydrated: AP School Education principal secretary
Vijayawada: To give priority to student health, School Education Principal Secretary Praveen Prakash on Monday announced the continuation of the ‘Water Bell’ initiative even after the reopening of schools on June 12. Prakash said, “We are committed to ensuring that students remain hydrated. Throughout the academic year.”Under this hydration break policy, the district education officers have been directed to monitor the maintenance of water bells daily till the end of the current academic year on April 23.
Additionally, posters highlighting the importance of hydration, especially based on the color of urine, will be prominently displayed in front of each urinal and toilet block. Explaining the importance of urine color, Praveen Prakash elaborated , “Mainly if the urine comes without any color then it is clear and it means that you are drinking too much water. Light brown color means you are healthy and drinking enough water. Light yellow color is normal and a sign of good health. Dark yellow color means that you are drinking less water and the body needs some water. If it is honey coloured, it means the body is not getting enough water.”
