Bihar. A man accused of murdering his wife and three daughters in Paharpur police station area of East Champaran district committed suicide by jumping from a train. Police recovered his body from the railway tracks on Saturday. A police officer said that the body of Idu Ansari, resident of Bawariya village, was recovered on the railway track near Sugauli.

Areraj Deputy Superintendent of Police Ranjan Kumar, while confirming the suicide, said that the deceased Ansari was accused of killing his wife Afrina Khatoon and three daughters Abarun Khatoon, Shabrun Khatoon and Shahzadi Khatoon by slitting their throats with a fodder cutter in Babaria village on Thursday. .

Ansari had absconded from the house after committing the incident. The police had also announced a reward of Rs 15,000 for those who provide information about the accused.
