Jerusalem: Israeli-American cognitive psychologist and Nobel laureate in economics Daniel Kahneman has died at the age of 90. “We have lost one of the most brilliant people,” Israel’s President Isaac Herzog said in a statement on Wednesday. He said that Kahneman’s research has changed the way humanity understands, we are very proud of him. “Even after Kahneman’s death, his contributions to the well-being of humanity cannot be forgotten,” Xinhua news agency quoted the Israeli President as saying. It is noteworthy that Kahneman was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2002 for his focus on decision making under uncertain circumstances. Kahneman was a fellow of the Center for the Study of Rationality at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a member of the university’s psychology department, and a professor and researcher at several major American universities.
