IPL 2023: Rinku Singh steers KKR to 3-wicket win over GT

AHMEDABAD: Kolkata Knight Riders’ Rinku Singh hit five consecutive sixes to seal a sensational three-wicket win over Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League here on Sunday.
With 29 needed off the last over, Rinku hit left-arm pacer Yash Dayal for five consecutive sixes to seal the win off the last ball.
Rashid Khan led from the front and returned with impressive figures of 3 for 37, while Alzarri Joseph (2/27) picked up two wickets, but all his efforts went in vain.

Venkatesh Iyer top-scored for KKR with a 40-ball 83 while skipper Nitish Rana played a brilliant knock of 45 off 29 balls.
Rinku played the innings of his life and hit a boundary and six sixes over the fence to register a famous win for KKR.
Opting to bat first, GT scored 204 for four on the back of half-centuries from Sai Sudarshan and Vijay Shankar.
Hardik Pandya missed the game due to unwell and Rashid led GT in his place.

Sudarshan scored 53 runs in 38 balls while Shankar scored 63 not out in just 24 balls. Apart from Sudarshan and Shankar, opener Shubman Gill scored 39 runs. Sunil Narine took three wickets for 33 runs for KKR.
