Holi 2024: Markets decorated for Holi, traders waiting for customers
Mandi: Amazing enthusiasm is being seen among the countrymen regarding Holi. Everyone is busy preparing for Holi. Meanwhile, a lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the traders of the market, but some traders are also seen complaining that this time there is not good purchasing as compared to other years.
At the same time, a day before Holi, the market of the famous market named Chhoti Kashi in Himachal Pradesh has been decorated, in which the colors of Holi have reached Chhoti Kashi in quintals from Haridwar in Uttarakhand. This time not five but seven types of colors are being sold in the market. Red, green, pink, yellow, Hanumani and purple colors are available for Rs 50 per 200 grams. This means that all types of colors are being sold for up to Rs 250 per kg, whereas last year their price was Rs 200 per kg.
To double the celebration of Holi on the Seri stage, many types of crowns have also been decorated in the shops with colors. Their price ranges from 50 to 100 rupees. This time the rates of water guns and toys have also increased. Colorful fog sprays with water soluble colors and different types of gulal are also exciting the people. The shopkeepers sitting on the Seri stage told that this time the colors have been brought from Haridwar.
This time there was a possibility of selling a lot of colors, but because of Sunday, a day before Holi, less people are buying colors. While Rajmadhav Rai’s royal priest Pushp Raj Sharma said about celebrating Holi a day before in Mandi, that Holi is celebrated in Mandi according to the full moon day and date.
