Dead body of girl found in hotel, family refused to accept the body

Raipur. The mystery of the dead body of Zoya Khatun, a resident of Nalanda district of Bihar, found under suspicious circumstances on Monday in a hotel located at Jhulelal Chowk of Naharpara in the Ganj police station area of the city, has not been solved yet. The police have informed the relatives of the deceased, but the relatives have refused to come to collect the body of the girl. Due to their refusal, the police will now conduct the post-mortem of the body on Wednesday. After the post mortem report it will be known how the girl died. The deceased’s friend is also refusing to come here. Late on Monday evening, the police found the dead body of Zoya Khatoon, a resident of Nalanda, Bihar, under suspicious circumstances in room number 109 of Hotel Relax Inn.

She had stayed in the hotel three days ago with a friend. A team of Ganj police and forensic experts reached the spot and investigated. According to the team of forensic experts, preliminary investigation has found signs of the girl consuming excessive amounts of alcohol and smoking cigarettes. This will be confirmed after receiving the short PM report. Police got information through the hotel manager that along with the deceased, Zoya Khatoon, one of her friends from West Bengal, 24 Parganas area had also stayed in the hotel. She had left back for West Bengal on Monday itself. Both the girls had booked the hotel room through Oyo on March 8. After getting the number of the deceased’s friend from the hotel management, the police talked to her, she had said that she would come to Raipur but now she is procrastinating.

According to the police, the call details of the mobile phones of the deceased and her friend are being scrutinized to gather information about the people with whom Zoya Khatoon and her friend were in contact with in Raipur and for what purpose they had come here. Besides, information about those who came to meet both of them at the hotel is also being collected. According to the police, Zoya Khatoon and her friend had booked a room and stayed in Hotel Relax Inn through Oyo in the past also. Police suspect that the deceased and her friend may be involved in prostitution business. Information is being collected about the people with whom both the girls have been in contact in Raipur. Also, the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the hotel is being taken out and investigated.
