NIA raided three places in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal, Barwani and Khandwa regarding links with Khalistani organization and illegal weapons. The NIA team has detained a youth from Khanugaon, Bhopal, while searching is being done in Barwani and Khandwa districts.


Information has been received that NIA has raided three places in Madhya Pradesh. NIA team has reached Umarti area in Barwani district, notorious for illegal weapons. Barwani Superintendent of Police Puneet Gehlot told that the NIA team has come here. Help in investigation was sought from the local police, which has been provided to them.


However, Khandwa Superintendent of Police Virendra Kumar Singh has refused the NIA raid. He said that at present there is no such information in the district. If NIA teams reach somewhere to take action, they usually do not give any information in this regard to the local police.


Information has been received that NIA teams are engaged in arresting the manufacturing and selling network of illegal weapons across the country. Barwani district of Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh is considered a hub of illegal weapons. From here the agency has received information about supply of weapons to Khalistani gangsters. It is being told that the NIAA team is raiding 30 different locations in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in the Khalistani gangster nexus case.
